Good to know
Is this only for Muslims marrying in the UK?
No. The core planner applies to Somali couples planning a Nikah and an Aroos anywhere. The UK legal marriage and marrying abroad sections are there because many couples need one or both.
Does the planner replace an imam or a solicitor?
No. It gives you clear, practical information to prepare with. The Islamic and UK legal sections are general guidance, so always confirm the details with a qualified imam or solicitor, and current rules at gov.uk.
What if my family does not follow every custom?
That is expected. Somali wedding customs vary by region and dialect community, and the planner says where a tradition is regional rather than universal, so you can choose what fits your family.
When does the vendor directory open?
We are building it now, city by city, starting where the waiting list is longest. Join the list and we will tell you the day your city goes live.
I run a wedding business. How do I get listed?
Register your interest on the vendor page. It takes five questions. We confirm by email and add founding vendors city by city.
